I have also got disturbed by this glamorization of mass layoffs/

And it is first justified by the employees who are impacted by such layoffs. They write a beautiful message on linked about how their journey has ended and now they are open to work. If they can just question their employer on such letters as "What lessons they have learned to not repeat this again". I feel we are just letting the employers go off the hook with such explanations of capitalism , economical situations and so on. They made a mistake and they need to first fire themselves and then put it in writing as what should not be done by their successors :-)

I hope more people can speak about it or atleast see that they deserved a more human treatment then a slack signout notification.
